The ivory-billed woodpecker was believed to be extinct for 60 years. It was found in arknsas. It is unbelieveable that the woodpecker has been hiding in the arkansas woods for 60 years. It was thought to be extinct because of habitat loss early in the 20th century. The ivory-billed woodpecker is still, very critically endangered.
